Compulsion
2.5 stars rounded up. I just... couldn't connect to the book at all. It was kind of slow for most of it and then way too much occurred in the last 70 pages (out of 433 of the ARC, for reference), including finding out her grandfather killed Luke & Twila, Cassie locking Barrie and Eight in the tunnels, her uncle being a drug smuggler who was the one who caused the fire that killed her father and scarred her mother, the fire carrier killing Wyatt & his drug smuggler friend, and THEN Barrie finding out Mark died...

I liked this a tiny bit more than the first book because we go to see Robley go to the present day.

Breezy, fun read. I enjoyed nearly every minute of this book except the scenes in the killer's POV, I just couldn't care much about that aspect of the book. It was funny and charming.
